Chet Wisner, President

Chet has played an active role in the air quality segment of the environmental industry for over 40 years. He is the Principal Investigator on all dispersion modeling projects for Ambient Air Technologies. Applying his experience and expertise in meteorology, engineering physics, and mathematics to physical modeling using scale models in a boundary-layer wind tunnel, he has personally managed or directed many wind tunnel studies including those profiled on our Portfolio
page. In addition to wind tunnel studies, Chet has personally managed a number of large scientific projects including a $1.2 million field project for the Baton Rouge Ozone Task Force to study the formation of ozone in the Baton Rouge vicinity. This project was touted by users of its data as "producing the most useful data per dollar of any project of its kind." Chet coauthored an EPA-recommended protocol for the use of environmental wind tunnel studies to determine plume downwash characteristics for input to EPA's own regulatory dispersion models. He also directed the development of a modular system of computer programs which allowed predictable, cost-effective analysis of complex meteorological data and was the basis for winning a number of federal government projects. Working with industry leaders, Chet has developed new techniques for using the wind tunnel to help clients achieve exhaust fan energy reduction while maintaining safe design. He has been a speaker for the I2SL (Labs for the 21st Century) and other professional organizations on such topics as "Wind Tunnel Testing for Campus Design," "Mansard Roofs for Exhaust and Intake System Design," "Wind Responsive Exhaust System Controls to Save Energy," and many others. His educational background includes an MBA in Management Strategy and Policy/Marketing from UCLA, an MS in Meteorology from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, and a BS in Engineering Physics from UC Berkeley. He is an active member of several professional organizations including ASHRAE, Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA), AMS (American Meteorological Society) and others.
Delores J. Wisner, Vice President

Delores is the Vice President of Ambient Air Technologies. Prior to this role, Delores was, for nearly 16 years, the Director of Marketing and Manager of Administrative Services for a competing wind engineering firm. She has worked with hundreds of clients both nationally and internationally applying her management and marketing expertise to many aspects of the client/provider relationship. This has included proposals, contract management and revenue forecasting, preliminary advice on the applicability of wind tunnel testing to a project, and client relationship management. Many clients have come to depend on the integrity of her approach in dealing with them and consider her their primary contact for wind tunnel testing issues. She was the author of a professional paper entitled "An Analytical Characterization of the Marketing Function in Environmental Consulting Service Firms," a paper that has been widely circulated in environmental consulting industry circles. She also shares a byline in Development New York magazine (v.1, no. 11, Nov. 2003) entitled "Cladding Design and Wind Tunnel Testing." She has been an invited moderator at several Labs for the 21st Century conferences. She started her career in the banking industry and subsequently founded and managed two successful small businesses. Delores has an MBA with a concentration in Marketing and Management from Colorado State University, a B.A. in Music from U.S. International University and is a member of several professional organizations including AMA, AMBA, ABWA, SMPS, and SCUP.
